Emergency Disaster Training

Weather patterns haven’t exactly been quiet around here lately and tornado & hurricane seasons are right around the corner. To prepare for the rest of 2014, The Birmingham Salvation Army will be offering disaster training for volunteers in April with classes available Friday April 11 or Saturday April 12 at our social services building located at 2130 11th Ave. North in Birmingham. Shelby County Warming Station

The greater Birmingham Salvation Army is prepared to help anyone needing shelter from the cold. The emergency shelter in downtown Birmingham expects an influx over the next couple of days and will offer free food and shelter to anyone needing it.
