Thank You Everyone!

Thank you for your generosity always, but especially during this past holiday season. Because of you The Salvation Army surpassed its goal at the red kettles raising $532,000.  Those funds will enable us to reach out to those who find themselves in times of crisis not only at Christmas but all year long.  And if you were one of many who picked an angel off a Salvation Army Angel Tree, thank you!  Because of you over 5,600 children in the greater Birmingham area received beautiful new Christmas gifts this year.

In 2014, The Birmingham Salvation Army expects to serve over 12,000 individuals in our shelters and residential programs and provide over 150,000 meals. We will provide food and clothing and assist families in many ways that will keep them from becoming homeless this year.  Many of those families will feel a sense of self-sufficiency again as they participate in our Permanent Housing Program.  All of this will be accomplished by a wonderful group of dedicated staff, board and auxiliary members, amazing volunteers and wonderful donors like so many of you who will once again give of their time, talent and treasure to assist The Salvation Army in meeting the needs of so many in our community.  And so, thank you to everyone in our community!  You are a blessing to us and those we serve.  God bless you.
